Time to reflect

My dear mom passed away just about two years ago from cancer. I miss her every day. My stepdad gave me some of her very nice jewelry, but I think my favorite piece is her "everyday" watch, which she probably picked up some place like Nordstrom's. It sat on her bedside during her last few days in hospice, and wearing it is like having a little piece of her with me every day.

  2. I'm sorry your Mom and your family had to go through such a rough time. She left you some wonderful memories and a special one that can be with you all the time. This is a beautiful photograph.

  3. It's funny how an object can help us connect to a person and memories. I feel the same wearing pieces of my mother's jewellery or things she gave me and feeling that physical attachment.

  4. I lost my first husband (after 55 years of life together) due to cancer too. It is something I would not wish on my worst enemy! Terrible to endure being stricken with such a disease.
It is nice to have a piece of jewelry worn by your dear Mom. I think it would make her feel close to you each time you put it on. Good shot.
