More power!

This trio of stacks is producing steam, while the ground fog from the low-level cloud in the area hides the base of the plant at the Navajo Generating Station in Page, Arizona. About the only color we saw that day were glimpses of the red dirt beneath the fresh snow.

  2. Such a powerful Photo groupie! Akk action and information, I thought that Rednecks got that way from snburn, not the soil!

  3. Great catch Val -- I love all the mist and clouds surrounding the plant. I love how the stacks look like they are coming out of nothingness! Great use for the Trio theme.

  4. I like the contrast of the dark and straight stacks against the billowy clouds of steam and the misty fog at the bottom.

  5. Hey Val, loving the stark contrast between the stacks and the white puffy smoke! Interesting composition, I really like what you have done here!

  6. Cool photo. Really like all the puffy, billowing smoke/clouds. I think maybe if you cropped out the bottom (ground) it would even more mysterious.

  7. Rather eerie photo! All looks natural, except for the stacks poking up through the mist. Cool shot.

  8. I was just thinking how eerie it looked then I read Sunny's comment! I love seeking out shots for themes like "trio" because it makes you search out and find images you might never look at without the theme in mind.

  9. Very cool composing. There is something about stacks like that even with the clean white emissions that is a bit menacing.
