My inspiration

Today would have been my mom's birthday. This is an old photo, taken by my stepdad just a few weeks before she passed away after a courageous battle with cancer. Her grace, good humor, and kindness served as an inspiration all of my life, but never more so than when she fell ill. I miss her daily, but a little more today, on her birthday.

    Anniversaries are tough but also special as we take a little more time to remember the special gifts those we have lost have left to us.

    I hope you have had some good memories today. I'm glad you had such a wonderful person to remember. I too have lost my mom but I always feel her spirit with me and I hope you do too.
