While in London, we saw 5 stage productions. Before this show began, we walked around and took a few twilight photos. The neon glow of the theater sign made it easy to find our way back in time to take our seats.
No matter what kind of perspective change I played with in Photoshop, I still had some leaning buildings. I finally scrapped the corrections and decided to post the original. Don't tip over!
That's a peek at St. Martin's church in the background. It was about 3 blocks from the theater, across the street from Trafalgar Square.
I kinda like the leaning buildings! And I like the idea of getting shots of the marquee announcing the shows you saw. I wouldn't have thought of that.

I love the way the buildings frame that gorgeous church...and I love the glowing lights of the signs. I am jealous...5 shows? Now that would be up my alley!
ReplyDeleteSame problem I had with the big buildings leaning in on our little church in Brisbane. This is a great Street scene, and you were right to show it this way. I am a bit disappointed that you could not find a flower seller somewhere to include. LOL
ReplyDeleteThe tilt of the buildings adds character to this image as the lines draw the eye down the street to the church.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are home safe and not trying to get home now.
This is such an interesting shot. The sky looks like a watercolor. Sometimes photos get worse when you start to play with them. I tried fixing some of my DS's London shots and gave up! Maybe those buildings have been there so long they resist any movement now.
ReplyDeleteI think it's the perspective that makes it such a fascinating picture. Sometimes, leaning buildings don't work; but in this photo, there's a certain curve to them that makes it seem as if it were intentional.
ReplyDeleteJust a lovely twilight shot with gorgeous sky and street lights on the theater.
ReplyDeleteNice one for "glow!" You have the evening glow on the buildings and the glow from the theater sign. I might have just taken a picture of the sign... but by including everything else in the photo with just a hint of the sign really makes it an interesting shot... but still says, hey this is something I did while in London.
ReplyDeleteI like the lean too, just a reminder that our eyes are way more accommodating than any camera. The light in this is so wonderful, the magic hour.
