Memories from the 1800s . . .

. . . silver and gold! Although these little souvenirs didn't actually come from the mining days, they bring to mind stories of eager prospectors, racing up the mountains with their equipment-laden burros, hoping to strike it rich.

These? My folks brought me back this little vial of gold flakes from an Alaskan cruise a few year back, and I can't quite recall where this somewhat tarnished silver dollar came from.

  3. Superb take for this theme and the story is a help although truth got in the way of a really good story, I would have told how I mucked that gold myself and the coin was one passed down from my Maternal great grandfather and was his last money just before he passed away. You've read my stuff you know what I mean. You may use these ideas and reissue the post if you like.

  7. With the price of gold what it is nowadays, you might be rich. The image is rich in color anyway. I need a lightbox, too.
