. . . this advertisement for Mary Poppins greets us as we walk up to the Cadillac Palace. It's unfortunate that photography is not allowed in the theater (typical, but unfortunate). The interior of this theater is gorgeous, and the sets and special effects for the production were absolutely jaw-dropping.
This ends our trip to Chicago. Heading back home!
Wonderful shot! She just makes me smile!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! If I show this to my son he'll be terrible yealous - he LOVES the movie. :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so neat, Val. I would love to see that show.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a wonderful mini trip - I am really jealous, would LOVE to see Mary Poppins (now I will be singing "Just a spoonful of.." all night)!
ReplyDeleteCan't imagine Mary Poppins without Julie Andrews. The photo gives a real feel for the hype.
ReplyDeleteMy neighbor's children went to the park to fly kites, and I photographed them. I made up a DVD of their photos, but I need the music, "Let's go fly a kite." So I bought the video and I played it on my large-screen computer. I videotaped the song sequence, then I put that clip into the DVD I was making. It really impressed the kids! But I couldn't get that song out of my mind for weeks! Oh no, I've done it again....let's go fly a kite.....
ReplyDeleteI love all the colors in this shot!!!
ReplyDeleteI love this shot--really makes me want to experience the excitement of seeing the show. We'll be in Chicago in two weeks, maybe I should look into it.
ReplyDeleteFun shot! Thanks for taking us to the theater.
