The altitude has nothing to do with taking your breath away

We drove up and down Tioga Pass Road several times during our week at Yosemite. It wasn't unusual to see marmots on our hikes, but to see one on the road was a little unique. This guy poses for me, oblivious to Tenaya Lake and the soaring Sierras in the background.

  1. That view is so stunning that he too was heading up the hill to get a glimpse of the scene! :) I had never seen one of those until we went to the Tetons a few years back and he put quite a show on for us, They seem like a very social animal!

  2. I think I like this shot the best because those foreground rocks just pull you in to the breath taking scene. Wonderful shot!

  7. Another knockout! Not wanting to repeat myself but it is so fabulous to tag along on your trips. I do think of you as progressively grizzled through these very high and dry spots...
