Peaks AND Valleys

On our second day in Yosemite, we hiked the 8 miles from the top of Glacier Point, down to the Valley floor, on the Panorama Point trail. (Nothing like a trail that's nearly all downhill!) One description of the hike said it was like walking through a 3-D postcard of Yosemite. I couldn't agree more! The higher of the two pictured falls is Nevada Falls; the lower, Vernal Falls.

  3. What a view to die for!! Spectacular! The only problem with downhill hikes is that there is always an uphill hike back (we found that out in the canyon)! LOL

  4. Tammy...on this hike, we took a shuttle to the top and hiked down to our car. No uphill portion! :-)

  5. I have run out of words to describe the beauty in your photographs. Each is more stunning than the one before.

  7. There is nothing quite like Yosemite. The view from Glacier Point is magnificent. We live only 1-1/2 hours away and try to make it there a couple of times a year. This last trip was in early spring when the runoff over the falls was at its peak...nothing quite like it....
