Although Bryce gets a fair amount of moisture in the winter months, the hot sun and high altitude bake the soil, making me wonder how these flowers can manage to bloom so brightly.

Another one of Mother Nature's little miracles. The curly leaves against all those broken lines really captured my attention....they are beautiful...not to mention that color of course! Terrific find & shot.
