I took many photos of elephants during a day trip to the Atlanta zoo over the summer, but I see I never posted any of them. This is my favorite, and definitely fits the theme of massive! To stay cool, the elephants had rolled in the red dust in their pen. I used Topaz Adjust - Clarity - to bring out the depth and texture in their wrinkles. Amazing animals.
I love the unusual perspective here...it really shows off the textures...topaz is great for that!
ReplyDeleteYour at the wrong end if they gave Mongo more Beans (No Beans for Mongo) but the skin texture is superb, although for me, a couple of hours staring into an Elephants Eyes is a real learning experience, so deeeeep!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot. The shallowish dof really enhances it.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorites of the year...great shot..frame it!
ReplyDeleteThat fits a Texture theme too - you can just reach out and feel all those wrinkles. Nice capture!
ReplyDeleteA marvelous shot, Val. The processing made the textures in the skin really pop.
ReplyDeleteThis is fabulous, almost abstract at first glance.
ReplyDeleteGreat processing. I love the texture of the elephant's skin. Amazing.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. Love the detail on their skin.
ReplyDeleteI've enver seen such a wonderful picture of elephants before. It's all about the texture and the dusty color--one can just sense their wise ponderous presence.
