Although I love a good visit to a zoo, I really prefer the more natural surroundings and the thrill-of-the-hunt feel of a wildlife refuge. While you are not guaranteed to see animals, catching sight of a fine furry beast or showy bird is more rewarding. This image was captured at Famosa Slough in San Diego, CA during a day trip over Easter weekend. I love his wide-legged stance.
Love how you snuck up behind him!
ReplyDeleteGreat capture! Looks like he is ready to take off.
ReplyDeletehe looks like a guy taking care of business (excuse me but I live in France)this is not an unatural side of the road sight, however they are are a bit more discreet than your little fellow, beautiful photo comical too...
ReplyDeleteOMG...I agree with Lynn...now I can't look at the photo without giggling! Great bird capture!

ReplyDeleteIt seems to be relieved :-) I love how sharp the eye and beak are
ReplyDeleteHad to laugh because this bird's pose reminds me of the classic Marilyn Monroe photo with her dress flying in the air. :D))
