Earlier in the week, I had the pleasure of tagging along on a high school field trip into Chicago to see Blue Man Group. We had about an hour to wander around Michigan Avenue before being whisked off to the show. I've always enjoyed the Chicago Water Tower, one of few structures to survive the 1871 Chicago Fire.
I always like to see photos of old buildings in the context of modern surroundings.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a church aspiring to great heights.
ReplyDeleteSo nice, I love how you tucked in by the new buildings Was it open like it was when we got to go inside and see the very cool fabric stuff?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a church, very fancy for a water tower and wonderful that it is still standing...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful architecture. Love the composition looking up the water tower and on up the newer building.
ReplyDeleteLove all the detail in the tower and how you photographed it against the newer buildings in the background.
ReplyDeleteGreat job showing it's small stature in comparison to the surroundings!
ReplyDeleteI can almost taste it!
