Hopefully, I'm developing a flare for this hobby

This was a happy accident. I liked the arched tree in the foreground, and the frozen waterfall in the distance. The great sun flare stole the show. Very little processing, just a tweak to levels to whiten the snow.

  4. Nice flare! I love the sunlight on the snow and the two people in the distance give some scale to the whole scene.

  5. There are people in the distance??? I had to get the larger photo to see that, yes there are people. The larger size made me appreciate the area covered by the photo. Great flare...

  7. Thanks, Janet and Sis for bringing the people to my attention. I would have missed them otherwise.

Certainly puts prospective to the distance, doesn't it?

Good shot, color, composition, and sun flare.

  8. Your showing your flare for titles too. It would be a good shot without the flare, good on you!
