Black and white and shades of gray

After our stop in Colorado Springs, we headed back south west. Destination: Durango. The drive between Ouray, Colorado, and Durango, Colorado, along the “million dollar” highway (Colorado Highway 550) contains many jaw-dropping views. One of the few cloudy, drizzly days we had on our trip occurred on this road, unfortunately, but it doesn’t diminish the beauty of the Grenadiers, seen here behind Molas Pass Lake. This entire photo was already mostly shades of gray, so I converted it to black and white.

  1. FINALLY!!! You finally hit a place I've actually been! We loved Durango when we were there about 10 years ago! You've captured it beautifully!

  6. I love the black and white treatment - it gives it such an old-fashion feeling.
