    Winter in the midwest can be very trying, but it is also very beautiful. You have captured that beauty in this image.

    The browns of the trees really show well against the white snow. I think you do have the white balance nailed on this!

    Nice how you were able to capture the glasslike surface of the water without any distractions in the foreground. Liquid water in such a wintry setting always looks a bit magical.

    The islands of snow make this almost an abstract. I love the warm brown trees and their implied strength holding up all that snow.

    Even with as much winter as we have had, I never tire of seeing or taking another photo of it. This one is so wonderful with the reflections adding that special touch.Composition is superb!

    This is a beautiful picture. I love everything about it. I love the white snow contrasted with the dark water and the little islands in the water.
