Wild wild suburbs??

It was pretty wild to see this wild turkey strolling across my front lawn yesterday afternoon.

  2. I was driving on the parkway once and a whole bunch crossed the road (in CT). After a few hours of driving in pouring rain, I thought this was a sure sign I should get off the road!

  3. That's crazy Val. Good thing you've got the photo to back your story up.

  5. What a surprise, I imagine they could make a mess of your yard and any new plants.

Nice shot in what looks like the ever tricky dappled sun/shade.

  6. Never have seen a wild turkey that wasn't in a bottle. Yet another thing on my bucket list!

  7. They're becoming more and more common--but be careful. They can be really nasty and quite aggressive.

  8. I am very amused when I see these birds around and about. They seem to be taking back the suburban areas around here too.

  9. Turkeys are now everywhere. Funniest thing is when you see them fly!
