Oh no! I've got a leaner!

After our lunch, the guides invited us to use their horseshoe pit while they cleaned up camp. No one took them up on the offer, but I enjoyed the lovely setting. In the background is the Salt River and the canyon, where we came from just before lunch.

  5. Great Scenery, I would like to go there. yes, you should have played horse shoes. I'm guessing a guided horse ride or hike. looks like a great place. nice shot too. brings the force of nature in with the game we humans like to play.

  6. Even though we were in Arizona, it was COLD (the sun was just coming out as we finished up lunch). Rather than play horseshoes, we all huddled around the fire and nursed hot chocolate until it was time to pick up the paddles again. Maybe a game would have warmed us up?

  12. I wonder if the sand changes the game at all? My family always played horseshoes in a dirt pit.

  13. I love being led down(up?) the river in this shot. I'm also loving this vicarious raft trip.
