On Saturday, November 12, it was warm enough in Massachusetts to take a shirt-sleeves hike through lovely Halibut Point State Park, which boasts this pretty fresh-water quarry on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean.
It's been an aberrant autumn here in southern New England: barely any color, yet the leaves stayed on the trees far later than usual, even despite the trees and branches themselves being taken down in a freak snowstorm. Why do I feel Mother Nature is having PMS?
Hi Val,
ReplyDeleteWe've been having some unusually warm days here in Indiana too. Lovely spot to sit and enjoy the sunshine. Have a great day!
Sherrie
The focus on the near grass makes the water seem to go on forever. The warm autumn coloring brings out the theme.
ReplyDeleteExceedingly Picturesque! It would be interesting to see a comparison shot with the snow on the ground, if you can remember the spot.
ReplyDeletewell done! I think the foreground grasses make this more interesting.

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing better than taking a walk and being able to see both lake and ocean views.
ReplyDeleteLoving the autumn colors against that bright blue! Looks like a splendid day for a walk!
ReplyDeleteNice range of colors in this shot!
ReplyDeleteLove the different layers in your landscape and their vivid contrasting colors.
ReplyDeleteThe colors just sing. Looks so inviting.
ReplyDeleteNice shot - I like how you framed the image with the brush in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteThe wild roses in the foreground are great framing for this warm and warmly colored scene.
