A place to enjoy Lake Michigan views in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.
Turns out, if you are not directly behind the bench, you can't get both the topline of the bench, and the horizon, perfectly horizontal. Lesson learned.
You're in one of my old 'hoods. If you're still this close to Manitowoc, be sure to visit Beerntsen's Confectionery. The Fairy Food and Cherry Bark are must-haves, and it's a great old store to visit.
Love the drive by Lake Michigan all the way up to Door County . . . just a little north you would find the Flying Pig where we photographed the artist working on his large wood sculpture.
Great place to sit and the important thing is that the horizon is level. Otherwise the lake would be draining into Illinois. Like the blue tone on the bench.
a great place for a bench, and as for horizontal.... I have difficulties there to. Does not disturb me in this photo though as my eyes catch the reflection of the bench
A Seat with a View that lets the rain fall through!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know it but I am a poet!

ReplyDeleteTough challenge on alignment, but you've done well.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photo, I especially like the shadow of the bench..
ReplyDeleteGreat image...bit of transform in PS and that bench will be aligned with the horizon :D
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that would make that picture better is me laying in that bench lol Beautiful view for sure!

ReplyDeleteVal and I did see the Flying Pig as we passed by.

ReplyDeleteHi Val,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I wouldn't mind sitting there now. Looks very cool and we are having a heat wave right now. Have a great day!

Love the lines you captured. Sometimes I struggle with whether to keep the horizon level or the subject. Either way we make beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteHow inviting! I love the shadow of the bench especially. That is a lot of lines to deal with and you did well.
ReplyDeleteLovely vista Val, wish I was right now, instead of here.
ReplyDeletePerfect viewpoint!
