Anyone want to play Hot Wheels?

This exhibit brought back memories of my brother and me as kids. We used to prop those bendy orange Hot Wheels tracks on teetery towers of chairs and boxes so the cars would get a good, long drop onto a track stretched out down the hallway.

  1. Me and my brother would do the same! But it would always end in us fighting over who got the coolest car!

I don't know about you, but I would much prefer this car to the hot wheels! :)

  2. I don't have a brother, but loved playing with these at friends' houses.

  3. I'll settle for the larger version of the hot wheels.

  4. I used to play with those with my nephews all the time. They were so great! Once I had kids I tried to find the plain old straight tracks and they seemed to only be making the fancy-dancey curved ones that required batteries rather than gravity. Why do they have to go and ruin everything?

  5. My brother had Hot Wheels. I started with Matchbox cars and refused to abandon them. I tried Superfast Matchboxes (their attempt to compete) and they always lost to his Hot Wheels.

Did you have the Snake and Mongoose? How about Splitting Image?

  7. I think I'd go for the full size version. Again I want to say what great shots these are from the car show with the famously bad lighting and people in the way.

  8. That's a fun way to advertise a hot car! And yes, I remember the orange tracks, too! ;-)
