Just for fun

We had drenching rains on many of our camping nights on this recent trip to the Smokies, and stopped to do some laundry and use the big commercial dryers at this friendly place...

    Is the "r" inserted there to signify the local pronunciation?

    Fun sign, I too would like to know about the "r"...don't you wish you had one of those big dryers...I know I do at times!
