In the darkness of the forest in Congaree National Park, we almost missed spotting this raccoon, who had hopped off a log into the water to search for a snack. The water is tinted green from the reflection of the trees, which lie out of camera range in this image. The canopy is so thick, that even at noon on a sunny day, I had to shoot at ISO 1600 in order for my camera to take any kind of image.
We don't have em, wombats are our closest, this is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteHis white muzzle stands out. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteHe is so cool against that green water, makes him really stand out...my parents have a little raccoon family living above their garage, but every time I get a little close they growl at me, believe me, I always back away LOL
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot. I love how natural the raccoon looks in the water.
