If it seems as though I'm posting a lot of bird photos lately, it's because Jon was on spring break, and I tagged along on some of his day trips as he stalked birds all over northern Illinois.
This image of a ring-billed gull seemed perfect for the theme of depth of field. He posed for me near a pond at Lincoln Park Zoo.
What a poser...nothing like having a model bird who poses on command! Very nice capture!
ReplyDeleteHow nice of him to do that for you. Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteHi Val,
ReplyDeleteHe's a very handsome fellow. Looks like he's enjoying his modeling job. Have a great day!
Sherrie
Perfect model and great DOF.
ReplyDeleteHope you threw him a chip for his modelling fee.
ReplyDeleteNot that I know anything about birds...but it looks like a young bird, and there's something contemplative about it.
ReplyDeleteYou do have a great DOF in this image. Enjoy your spring break.
ReplyDeleteNice DOF indeed, and this is one clean and bright gull! He must not have a blue collar job to dirty those clean feathers.
ReplyDeleteSo well shot! I'm not a birder bur have heard that gulls can be really hard to identify what with variations and juvenile forms etc.
ReplyDeleteGreat example of DoF. A very nice bird shot as well!
ReplyDeleteLooks like he's contemplating where his next snack is coming from.
