I shot this sunset photo through my (in need of a wash) home office window. In an attempt to disguise the streaks on the glass, I opened the image in Photoshop and duplicated the photo, then set the blend mode on the duplicate to Multiply. It made the colors become very vivid, which is a good thing because I already used the theme of "through a window".
Boundless talent and a good photographer to boot.
ReplyDeleteA great effect! I like it.

Vivid sunset! The colors are deep and wonderful with your effect.
ReplyDeletevery nice processing job. I'd love to see the original.
ReplyDeleteGreat idea Val! What do you have for dust?? ;-)
ReplyDeleteVery cool! You could have used this shot for "Silhouette," as well!
ReplyDeleteCool, Val. It's nearly a red sky, and no streaks!
ReplyDeleteNice save, Val! Beautiful shot to begin with and your processing puts it over the top.
ReplyDeleteGreat technique! I love the range of oranges and the depth of the clouds in your sunset. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThe intense orange gives it a certain infernal tone--rather like the sky over Mordor.
ReplyDeleteI love those save techniques the best...the colors are wild!
ReplyDeleteAwe inspiring sky and a clever save too...
ReplyDeleteFabulous color and one fine household hint!
