OK, the theme is really cement, but the name of this frosty treat is a Concrete Mixer. It's made with frozen custard - much more rich than ice cream. Maybe Lois lives near a custard stand? They seem to be Wisconsin businesses. Concrete or cement, it was delicious!
And my favorite...the best is caramel caramel...yummmmmm!
ReplyDeleteWe have this chain too...delicious...and great use of theme.
ReplyDeleteI hope young Lady that you brought enough to share with us all, That Chain has not reached the antipodes, yet.
ReplyDeleteCulver is close to culvert which is often made of concrete. Fun and apparently delicious take on the theme, though I am not sure if I like custard since I seldom come across it.
ReplyDeleteNow there's a dessert that will weigh you down some!!!LOL
ReplyDeleteMy Achilles heel, Val. I love frozen custard, and you're right, Wisconsin seems to have a monopoly on the real stuff. The custard stand was always the very first stop after getting off the plane in Milwaukee. Get some custard first, then go see mom and dad. (They understood.)
ReplyDeleteYum! Such an appealing shot in every way.
ReplyDeleteOh now I want to try one! We don't have anything like that here, I don't think.
ReplyDeleteOh yes! Culver's concrete is a favorite . . . I favor the mint chip.
ReplyDeleteI love this shot! And, oh how I love frozen custard. We don't seem to have it up here at all so it is always nice to find it in various places in the US when traveling. I've never heard of Culver's and I do wonder what a Butter Burger is.
