Trying a new technique

In the midwest, we were hit with 8-12" of new snow. I decided to overlay this shot of my back deck with a silver and white metallic gradient map...a new technique. I kind of like the results.

(OK, I did this. The snow can melt now...)

  1. Nice effect - though the snow itself leaves its own effects on the scene - about to go shovel...

  2. Cool how the effect put more of a definition to the edges, also very nice toning! I'm with you, the snow served it's purpose now BEGONE! :)

  4. Was that a hint of Tammy's whinning about a little white stuff and a chill factor of -37 that I hear creeping in at the end?
I don't know hat you people are on about today is forcast for 34C with a total fire ban as it is going to be soooo HHOOTT!

  5. Very cool processing. Love the effect and I love looking at the pictures and glad I don't have to be out in it.

  6. Like the effect, no snow in NJ but cold enough, oh I better not say anything or I might be considered a whiner too:)

  7. Very cool technique. Snow really looks best elsewhere, like on top of mountains...
