In the White Tower, within the grounds of the Tower of London, was a fascinating display of armor. It seems there were sizes for young and old. Imagine a small child, having to wear this...

How odd! Maybe it was the middle ages version of a toddler wanting to walk around in his daddy's shoes? Your shot came out great...

What a great photo, Val! That tiny suit of armor is priceless. It's interesting to note that the idea of childhood as we know it didn't exist in the Middle Ages. Children were just though of as miniature adults.
ReplyDeleteGlad to be in your group in May-June!
This is too fun! Can you imagine going out to play in one of those? LOL
ReplyDeleteWe all have Long and Short (k)nights, but not normally together. Great Shot of a difficult object
ReplyDeleteGreat pic. Maybe it was the original 'Mini Me' like in the Austin Powers movie. Okay, probably not but a fun photo just the same.
ReplyDeleteHmm. Maybe I need a suit like this with my second graders some days!(Just kidding.)
ReplyDeleteThat is so interesting. Your image is great, and the child's armour is just unreal.
ReplyDeleteThey must have been put there specifically for this theme!! I do think they make an odd pair!!
ReplyDeleteNicely done in tricky light. I can't imagine getting some squirmy kid into that.
