Yesterday's shot was cheese...today you get the...
The cheese became fondue and this was sliced up and used as a dunker, along with ham, broccoli, and pretzels. Yummy!
Shot this on the black counter top, no flash, with my 50mm lens. Note to self; when shooting in low light, black is not a good backdrop.
I want to come to your house! That bread looks divine!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks good to me too. I can picture dipping it into all kinds of good stuff. Then adding it to a big bowl of pasta!
ReplyDeleteI saw something the other day it might have been on a blog or just somewhere like DPS. But it said to always have one of those foam core boards nearby to either reflect the light or just use behind something when shooting. I am gathering some of various sizes to use myself.
Now I am hungry...

ReplyDeleteDo we get the wine tomorrow, or will you make us whine? LOL! Good shot and I like the contrast of dark counter and white of the bread with the golden crust.
ReplyDeleteYummy! I am about to go slice some bread for dinner. I don't think the black looks bad.
ReplyDeleteI thought I smelled fresh baked bread!!
ReplyDeleteTough low light focus, nice job though and if you have some butter and sauce for that bread...I'm there!
ReplyDeleteI think you did well with the black Val ... it looks great. Not to mention delicious.
ReplyDeleteYummy, I can almost smell it from here.
ReplyDeleteMMMMM...Bread! The only thing better is bread and cheese! You did great for the lighting you had to work with.
ReplyDeleteI actually like the way this turned out, despite your criticism of the background. It's very appealing and well shot.
ReplyDeleteLove cheese fondue, the next batch will be ready when??
ReplyDeleteLove fondue! I think you did a pretty good job in capturing the bread in low light.
ReplyDeleteI sort of liked your black background. It makes the bread really stand out.
ReplyDeleteI like the black too, glad you are playing with the 50mm
