One of my photography goals this year is to experiment more with my 50mm lens. Making cheese fondue for the Rose Bowl, I decided to photograph my ingredients. Harder to zoom with your feet, than with your lens!
Nice colors, Val. And I like your personal challenge of using the 50 more. Now that you point it out, I think I tossed that one to the bottom of the bag when I bought my first camera set up and it hasn't seen daylight since. I may have to join your effort with one of my own.
I always zoom with my feet, just ask the botannical garden as they see me falling on my @&$ backwards into most of the flower beds there. I picked up a zoom lens the other day and couldn't figure out how to use it, LOL. I too need to work with the 50mm. Let us know and we will all work on this inter-challenge together.
Day 2 and already another challenge. LOL Might be fun since I lived by the zoom lens last year. I have to give you a big hug for your google Reader video, would have been lost without that info, wish I had it set up last year. I`m glad Ron left some of the cheese behind so we can all see your post.
I could live on wine, cheese, bread and maybe an occasional salad or piece of meat. Note to self: do not look at photos while hungry! Good luck using your lens - I look forward to following your progress.

Makes me want some cheese, Val! Did you desaturate the image? Velveeta is usually more yellow! ;-)

ReplyDeleteI just started my first 'project 365' - and first blog - yesterday. Your blog and images are really great!
ReplyDeleteThe cheese looks great! I'll bet your fondue was better than the game.
ReplyDeleteGrrr.
Too bad about the game. Nice way to drown sorrows in fondue. I love my 50 although I did squeak in for the Tamron rebate on your lens
ReplyDeleteI'm in for the inter-challenge too except mine lens is a 105mm. I really need to use it more too.
ReplyDeleteVal, where's the fondue?
I think your blog is the one that led me to the 365 this year :) Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBut now I want fondue ;)
That cheese looks really yummy. Good shot.
ReplyDeleteLooks yummy! Nice shot!
ReplyDeleteI love the creamy colors and extures--defintely cold be an add for the Cheese Council.
ReplyDeleteGreat photo and play on words.
ReplyDeleteI had a Swiss lady teach me how to make fondue a number of years back and now I always do a cheese fondue on New Year's Eve. Secret's in the kirsch!
