And man created fire

Jon wanted to try cooking a pizza on the grill. It was a fresh pizza - not frozen. We need practice - the bottom was a little charred - but it tasted pretty good. We'll definitely try it again.

  5. No better reason for fire than great grilled food! We love pizza on the grill, too--discovered it last year. We use Udi's gluten free crusts. we heat the grill up first, then slide the completed pizza onto the grill. We have two burners on the grill. (I should say, John does--I'm not allowed near his testosterone laden grill!) If it looks like the crust is charring from below, he turns off the burner underneath it, leaving the other on, so it still bakes but doesn't burn.

  6. That does look good and a great way to do pizza in the hot months when you don't want to heat the kitchen up. I really will have to try this.

  7. We have a wood fire pizza place here in town, La Fiamma, that is very popular. I wouldn't trust myself to the method, but I applaud those brave enough to try.
