On our boat trip over to Santa Cruz Island, we encountered a large pod of friendly dolphins along the way. They, and the water, were all varying shades of gray.
How cool is that? Are these bottle nosed dolphins? What's the difference between a dolphin and a porpoise? Aren't you glad you got to see their heads, and not just the dorsal fins circling your boat?
What a cool image! I love the dolphin coming up out of the wavy water.

ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I love the fin sticking out near the bottom. That would be scary if you weren't sure they were dolphins.
ReplyDeleteNow I am even more jealous! I love how you captured them playing in their true form!
ReplyDeleteThis captures all the verve, energy and power of this remarkable animal.
ReplyDeleteYou're so lucky to have seen these!!! Fun!
ReplyDeleteAnother great shot of the local wildlife on your trip, great how they follow the bow of the boats.
ReplyDeleteWow! great action shot!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see! Did they chatter at you like on the T.V. show?
