Two people got bit in Cary, NC this week by a fox. They are usually rabid too. Nice pic though! The Red Fox is the state animal of NC. They were or are endangered.
He really is a bold little fox, obviously some people have given into his charm and good looks and have fed him. A nice opportunity though to get a nice shot!
Hard to resist but so much better for them if they are left to thier own devices, Look at the trouble Our Dingoes on Fraser Island can get into due to handouts.
What a great shot of this disappointed little fox! Love it.
ReplyDeletePoor little foxy. However, I'm sure they are right to discourage feeding them or they will continue to get closer to people and dogs, etc.
ReplyDeleteHi Val,
ReplyDeleteHe's a cutie, I'd want to feed him too. He looks like he's just sitting there waiting for someone to feed him. Great shot! Have a great day!
Sherrie
Great capture of the island fox.
ReplyDeleteHe definitely looks like he has his eye on something!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot of the fox! I've never been so close to such an animal!
ReplyDeleteWow--foxes are usually shy, so to have snagged such a shot is cool.
ReplyDeleteThat is an extremely hard image to get and you got it with perfection! So cute!

ReplyDeletewhat a fine shot of one sleek fox.
ReplyDeleteIt is unfortunate when the wild animal forgets how to be wild and depends on handouts as easy dinners. Such a cute little fox though! Great capture!
