Motionless

I stood watching and photographing this motionless, one-legged gull for a long time. He didn't seem upset by my presence.

Then, he put down his other foot and walked away. The "one-legged gull" joke was on me. Hahaha!

  1. I hope you stood on one leg while watching him! LOL
FYI All birds that have that ability are actually Half asleep, the side of the raised leg is in fact askeep. If you see them lower one leg and raise the other they are giving themselves a total body sleed. It is hard to stay alive in the wild!

  3. I think it was practicing a yoga or pilate move. He probably was wondering what your trip was!

  4. I don't suppose it was a decoy? Love how the color of the sand and the color of the gull are the same tones.

  8. Such jokers those gulls! I love the tones in this, almost looks like camo for the gull as it naps.
