C is for crazy crowds

I am not a big fan of the whole LensBaby movement - it makes me a little motion sick. Still, this image of the Chicago Auto Show crowd, shot from a 15-foot platform, just cried out for some motion. I used a Radial Blur, set to Zoom, to achieve this effect. What do you think?

  1. I agree the radial zoom makes the crowd look all the more active. Nice shot.

  6. I do like the crowd scene but my eyes tell me not to look for too long, the image goes slightly ooozy after a while.

  7. I'm not a fan of the Lensbaby either, and the effect you achieved with radial blur replicated the motion sickness effect!

  8. One has to enlarge the photo to get a good sense of that the motion blur does--it adds a hectiv feeling to the crowd.

  9. I prefer looking at those crowded places from a distant so this is perfect for me ;-)

  10. Crowds make me queasy so this is perfect. I'm a Lensbaby fan but it gives a different blur than PS can.
