After skiing one day, I motored up Fremont Pass, which allows passage between Summit and Lake Counties, high in the Rockies. I stopped at this turnout, hoping to hike back behind the car towards the obvious cirque of mountains, but about 100 yards in, I was up to my thighs in snow. Settled for this photo instead.
Beautiful Val ... and I think you made the right decision.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot Val. I love that you got those mountain tops in there as much as you did. Nice!
ReplyDeleteFabulous mountain tops and I give you credit for even getting out of the car. That's more than I would have done :-)
ReplyDeleteHow long before all the snow is gone so you can go back and do the hike?
ReplyDeleteLooks like an ad for a car. The license plate is fuzzy, though. Don't you want us to trace your whereabouts, or do you not want the car rental to know where you took this?
ReplyDeleteI always knew you were a smart girl! :) Wonderful image though, well worth the drive up!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful shot. Love the story behind it.
ReplyDeletea beautiful car in a beautiful landscape ... without target?
