As I was composing and taking this shot, I fully planned to go home and use one of Jerry Jones' fine textures to give this image some life. I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was enough bokeh and texture in the flower (weed??) itself that it didn't need any help from Jerry. Straight out of camera, and added a vignette in Photoshop.
very nice bokeh. No texture needed here......
ReplyDeleteWonderful image. The vignette was a nice touch.
ReplyDeleteWeeds are cool, I have had quite a number of them to good effect to, but I am entranced by their colour!
ReplyDeleteAwesome background and perfect aperature! I love the clarity of this weed against the background, it really makes this image pop!
ReplyDeleteQueen Anne's Lace is lovely even in its bare winter form. You didn't need more than that vingette.

ReplyDeleteThe last of this seed head just glows and your dof makes such a perfect background, well done!
ReplyDeleteNature often provides all the textures you need. Nice one, Val!
