Standing on the pedestrian Navajo Bridge, which crosses the Colorado River just outside of Page, Arizona, one gets a great view of the newer, auto bridge as its span arcs over the water.
For an interesting view of both bridges, and little history, read here.

This is sooooo cool, love how it is built right into the canyon rocks...this has to be enlarged to enjoy it's full beauty...nice arc Val!
ReplyDeleteI hate to think of the height, it makes me queasy. Great shot though, the detail is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great shot...love the details.
ReplyDeleteThat is quite an amazing structure. It actually looks a bit like it's floating in midair. Great arc shot!
ReplyDeleteThe picture i a beautiful mystery. It looks like the bridge runs straight into the rock.
ReplyDeleteAnother great image. It looks like you are driving thru the rocks. I also agree with Terri - I don't think I could have gone across that one -- my fear of heights is not good.
ReplyDeleteThe mind boggles at the job they would have had to do to construct that bridge, just so that you could get your great Arc Shot.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting juxtaposition between the man-made and nature. It's almost creepy the way it's perched there in the notch in the wall - I would worry that something would give way and it would fall. But it's a nice arc shot and you did a great job keeping the roadway paralell to the "horizon" line so it doesn't distract.
ReplyDeleteIncredible shot!! The textures and angle of the bridge are amazing along with the suspension.
ReplyDeleteYour vacation pics are always beautiful.

ReplyDeleteWhat a great place you found to shoot from and what a great shot. Nice title too!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite photo. Great perspective. Where were you when you took this shot, Val?
ReplyDeleteI was going to say that this is a little close for comfort. The details in his fur are amazing. His eyes are fabulous.
