No clever title. Just an image of that blue moon! I added a suggestion of a blue filter in PSE to really make it blue. This was hand held, shot in Phoenix, AZ. I like how this moon is a different angle than Ron's moon, shot "down under".

Are you trying to say that you have a different moon in Arizona, than we have down here in God's Country? Anywhooo yours is nice too!
ReplyDeleteGreat moon shot. I think i'll sign on for the Walk.
ReplyDeleteVal - it's beautiful. I think this is so clear you could see "the man" in the moon if there was one! Looking forward to all of the new pics and blogs!

Great "Blue Moon", Val. I love the details on the moon.
ReplyDeleteWonderful detail--and great focus for a handheld shot! Looking forward to blogging with you again this year.
ReplyDeleteAn excellent view of the "blue moon." it seems to capture both meanings of the term.
ReplyDeleteWow! That is one great shot, Val! You've started the new year out right!
ReplyDeleteKeep posting stuff like this i really like it.
ReplyDeleteI HAD to comment on this one...I can't believe you got the clarity and details you achieved by hand holding this shot - sensational! When I saw that moon last night, I, of course didn't have my camera! Now I am jealous after seeing you and Ron's shots!
ReplyDeleteIncredible shot! I love the way it just pops against that stark, black background. Unbelievable for a hand held. You seem to be GREAT with moons!
ReplyDeleteThis is an incredible shot. I love moon photos and I'm always impressed by those who can take them. I've never managed to get a decent one. It's lovely.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous shot! I am so jealous that you were able to capture such clarity without a tripod! I was never able to do that.
ReplyDeleteThat is an awesome blue moon you've got there Val! And I agree with you - it's interesting to compare the moon pictures. :) /Viktoria
